Events

You can help child victims in our community by participating in DNLCC fundraising events. These events provide funds to support the critical services of DNLCC. In addition to attending events, you can participate by donating goods or services, by providing funds to sponsor an event, or by volunteering to be a committee member on one of the planning committees. Wild Women Party
The Wild Women Party, the brainchild of a former Board Member, is an entertaining way to engage more women in the work of DNLCC. For this invitation-only event held every fall, guests enjoy an evening of cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Themes for past parties have included, gloves, shoes, the color pink and pearls!

Oyster Roast
The Oyster Roast is a casual event aimed at the young and the "young at heart" professionals of the Lowcountry. While enjoying oysters, chili and listening to live music, guests will learn about the mission of DNLCC, the services available and the opportunities for them to become involved.

Chart a Course for Children
Chart a Course for Children is a dinner and auction hosted by Weesie and Tradd Newton and Fleet Landing Restaurant. The evening begins with a cocktial reception and a silent auction featuring a wide array of goods and services donated by the business community and individuals. Following a delicious three-course dinner, a live auction is held. Past live auction items have included vacations homes in Colorado and the Virgin Islands, fine art, cocktial parties on private luxury yachts and a puppy! The 2013 Chart a Course for Children was held on February 7 and raised over $180,000!
